3RD LOYALIST CITY FOLK FESTIVAL CANCELLED

Local businesses to host performers Justin Townes Earle, Clinton Charlton, Lennie Gallant, the John Henrys and Jon Brooks

 

The 3rd Annual Loyalist City Folk Festival, scheduled May 30 to June 1, 2008, has been cancelled due to insufficient support.

 

Ticket holders may return to the point of purchase for a full refund.

 

Organizer King Street Entertainment thanks the individuals and businesses which have supported the efforts to bring the event to the city. Special gratitude is expressed to The Blue Olive and The Fort Howe Hotel and Convention Centre, which will host four scheduled artists this weekend.

 

Justin Townes Earle, the John Henrys, Jon Brooks and Clinton Charlton will perform at The Fort Howe Hotel and Convention Centre Friday, May 30, and Saturday, May 31. Tickets ($10, taxes included) are available at the hotel, 10 Portland St. Seating is limited. Doors open at 7:40; concert starts at 8 p.m. For more information call 657-7320.

 

The Blue Olive, 419 Rothesay Ave., will host Lennie Gallant on Saturday, May 31. Tickets, $20 each (taxes included), are available at The Blue Olive. Show begins at 9 p.m. For more details call 634-3183.
